Our Approach to Laser Hair Removal
At Timeless Skin & Wellness, we are passionate about helping our guests feel and look their best. We leverage tried-and-tested technology to make treatments more efficient and effective.
With over 30 years of combined experience in laser hair removal, we’ve learned that most clients benefit from 6–10 treatments in their first year. After that, just 2–4 maintenance sessions each year can help maintain your results! Remember, this applies to all laser treatment options.
The Venus Velocity laser targets the hair follicle to help prevent hair regrowth. Suitable for all skin types (including darker skin tones), it can help make hair removal quick and comfortable.
By targeting hair in its growth phase, Venus Velocity helps to render hair regrowth obsolete. A distinguishing feature is its cooling system, which works on contact to help keep your skin protected and comfortable at all times.
Splendor X uses BLEND X technology to help provide customized hair removal treatments for different skin tones. Unlike traditional lasers, Splendor X uses 2 types of wavelengths, helping to target a larger area with uniform coverage.
Splendour X’s ergonomic design prioritizes comfort and efficiency for versatility in its treatment options.
The dual cooling system minimizes heat in your tissue before the laser is applied, adding to your comfort. Its smoke-free, interchangeable, and customizable design helps you to target hair removal where you want it most.
Preparing for Laser Hair Removal Treatment
We want to make sure you’re prepared for your laser treatment. We advise the following to help you have a smooth experience:
- Avoid regular sun exposure–including tanning beds–before and while you’re receiving treatment.
- Avoid artificial tanning such as lotions, sprays, and booths for at least 7 days beforehand.
- Don’t apply lotions, oils, creams or perfumes leading up to your appointment.
- Arrive at your appointment clean-shaven.
We do not shave unshaven areas. The only area we shave is the full back. If a back needs shaving, it must be arranged when booking and additional fees apply.
What Happens After Laser Hair Removal?
After your laser treatment, your skin will need some extra care for a smooth recovery. We recommend:
- Applying an ice pack, aloe vera gel, sunburn cream, or antibiotic ointment to help reduce irritation.
- Avoiding exercising, hot tubs and saunas, or applying deodorant, makeup, fragrant moisturizers, and creams for 24 hours after each treatment. Moisturizers without mineral oils and alpha-hydroxy acids are ideal.
- Keeping your skin clean and avoid the sun for at least 2 weeks.
- Using sunscreen SPF30 or higher throughout the treatment duration and for 1-2 months after.
- Avoiding picking at the treated skin.
- Avoiding other hair removal products during the course of your treatments.
